Is Tekashi’s Music Career Failing?

GOOBA hit maker, Tekashi 6ix9ine, seems to be experiencing a fall in his music career and even love life!

Jade, his girlfriend, was promoting a waist trainer through an Instagram post and in the picture, she could be seen covering Tekashi’s face’s tattoo with her ponytail. The two have been dating since 2018 and them breaking up still remains a speculation.

The Trollz rapper is not new to the  crime scenes. He has faced a lot of charges in his career life. One of them includes sexually assaulting a 13-year-old minor. He used the minor for a sexual performance and posted the videos online.

Tekashi, 18 at the time, turned himself in when he found out she was a minor saying, ‘That tore me apart. My whole life felt like it was coming crashing down. I’m in the interrogation room like, what did I do? Damn, my life is over.”

After a four-year probation and a thousand hours of community service, he would face Firearm charges and be jailed but released early due to the Corona pandemic. He was kept under house arrest because of his Asthma condition.

Tekashi 6ix9ine also admitted to physically abusing Sara Molina his ex girlfriend. His relationship with Jade remains unclear despite Jade covering her body with Tekashi-inspired tattoos and visiting him in jail when he was locked up.

As for his music, his second studio album Tattle tales didn’t seem to make the sales. Dj Akademik, Tekashi’s ride-or-die or according to Nicki Minaj, his romantic partner, the Gummo rapper trolls others on their numbers and he himself didn’t make sales on Tattle Tales. He added that it was a flop. 6ix9ine being the number guy he is, knews what that meant for his rap career.  Apparently Tekashi is a snitch and that might also add to his failure. Is his silence a way of making a comeback though?

The rainbow rapper admitted to taking a pill per day to lose a couple of pounds but he experienced side efadmittleading to him being hospitalized for it. He apparently overdosed on the pills.

GOOBA, a single in the album however, hit number three on the billboard chart but Billboard later disqualified more than 100,000 of Tekashi’s Merchandise bundle.

On 11th September this year, the rapper could be seen on the streets dishing out CDs of the album urging people to listen to it.The Instagram post was captioned, “One way or another image force ya to listen to this! Since ya ain’t want to buy it.”

It didn’t stop there. He tore posters that advertised Tattle tales and captioned the video, “my mum still thinks im a winner.”

What is your take on the rappers career? Should he keep rapping or focus on something else? Talk to us, we love it when you do.

Kendrick Lamar Signs New Deal with Universal Music Publishing

13-time Grammy award winner Kendrick Lamar has signed an exclusive global administration deal with Universal Music Publishing Group, which was announced on Tuesday this week by the company.

Having been named Variety’s first hitmaker of the year back in 2017, Lamar is undoubtedly one of the millennium’s most influential artists. The rapper, who has been flaring rumors concerning his pgLang recording label, which includes artists like Baby Keem among others, has had fans speculating and eagerly waiting for a new project to come out soon. This would be the rapper’s first release since 2017’s ‘Damn.’

The new publishing deal is most likely to increase speculation about Lamar’s long-awaited fourth full-length album. However, no further details about the artist’s new work have been forthcoming. An admin agreement does not mean Lamar will have to sign over his rights to UMPG. The rapper will retain full ownership of his copyright as UMPG will just be handling the administrative services.

When speaking about the Top Dawg artist, the UMPG Chairman and CEO Jody Gerson said, “Kendrick Lamar is not only one of the greatest lyricists that has ever lived, but he has done as much or more than any artist to promote much needed change in our society through music.” Gerson went ahead to speak about Kendrick’s lyrical and songwriting prowess and how much she is looking forward to working with him.

The “Damn” artist has written and produced 14 songs for the soundtrack to “Black Panther,” a Marvel superhero film, for which he won Academy and Grammy Awards.

Lamar was recently involved in a rumor about him leaving Top Dawg Entertainment to focus more on his label pgLang. The rapper addressed the subject in a video shared on the Top Dawg Instagram Page.

Juice Wrld’s Mother, Speaks About his Mental Struggle in a New Interview

Juice Wrld was an icon but Jarad was my son,” Carmella Wallace said in an interview that was published on Monday the 26th of October.

Juice Wrld was a young successful rapper who succumbed to an accidental overdose late last year.

It is reported that the 21-year-old rapper overdosed on Codeine and Oxycodone before experiencing an epileptic seizure at the Midway airport. He would later lose his life after being rushed to a local hospital.

Juice, officially known as Jarad Anthony Higgins had just been named Top New Artist by the Billboard Music Awards. Despite his success in the Music scenes, his mother Carmella says Juice Wrld was still her young boy.

In the interview with Sanders, she reminisces one time he performed in a Chicago concert. Carmella says girls kept asking him for a selfie and screaming his name but immediately they got home, she asked him to take out the garbage. Mrs. Wallace says she wanted her son to learn the virtue of humility.

The two of them seem to have had a close mother and son relationship, to the point of talking about their mental health struggles. Carmella says her son was dealing with depression, anxiety and addiction at the time.

She remembers telling him to seek professional medical help and that his overdose was her worst fear. Carmella adds that she opened up about her fear to other people. Later, she would launch a foundation, Live Free 999, in honor of her dead son.

The foundation’s goal is to encourage young people dealing with any form of mental issue to talk about it freely without feeling judged and also normalizing the topic.

The Legends Never Die artist, made songs his fans could really relate to and we can owe his musical success to this fact.

Live free 999 was started by Carmella Wallace and it was inspired by a denim jacket juice thrifted. The jacket had the words “Live Free” printed on it.

Juice lived and will still live on in our hearts because of the music he made, the life he lived and the foundation that he has inspired. Legends truly never die.

Which of Juice’s songs rock your Wrld? Let us know.
