‘Friday’ Star Tommy’ Tiny’ Lister Found Dead in His Marina Del Rey Apartment



Friday actor Tommy 'Tiny' Lister is found dead at age of 62

Tommy’ Tiny’ Lister, known for playing Deebo in Friday and Next Friday, is found dead at age 62 in his Marina Del Rey apartment, California, on Thursday afternoon.

The 62-year-old actor was pronounced dead on the scene after officials responded to an unconscious male call. The L.A County Sheriff’s Department said that Lister was discovered during a welfare check when his friends and family didn’t hear from him.

Cindy Cowan, his manager, told Variety that the actor had displayed symptoms of COVID-19 and battled it earlier this year, resulting in him not being able to take part in shooting for a film project.

‘He was a wonderful guy with a heart of gold,’ said Cowan. ‘Everyone loved him. A real gentle giant. We’re all devastated.’

He also acted in No Holds Barred, played President Lindberg in the sci-fi action film, The Fifth Element, and The Dark Knight. He also voiced Finnick in Zootopia.

He was also a professional wrestler and played opposite Hulk Hogan in 1989’s No Holds Barred. In 1989. He tangled with Hogan in WWE SummerSlam’s main event, forming a tag team with the late Macho Man Randy Savage against Hogan and Brutus.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine whether the actor died from natural causes or any other reason.

WWE tweeted, “WWE is saddened to learn that Tom “Tiny” Lister known as Zeus to the WWE Universe, passed away today at age 62.”

Veteran TV and radio host Larry King died on Saturday morning at the age of 87. The award-winning host and household name had been hospitalized with COVID-19 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he passed away.

His official Twitter page shared his passing on Saturday morning. The statement reads, ” With profound sadness, Ora Media announces the death of our co-founder, host, and friend Larry King, who passed away this morning at age 87 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.”

The legendary host became the face of CNN, having hosted “Larry King Live” on CNN for over 25 years. He interviewed a wide array of people from everyday people, to A-list celebrities to presidential candidates to athletes.

The Brooklyn native who retired in 2010 after recording more than six thousand episodes of the show, battled a number of health issues. He suffered several heart attacks.

More recently, King revealed that he had been diagnosed with lung cancer in 2017. He successfully underwent surgery to treat it. He also underwent a procedure to treat angina.

Larry King will always be remembered for his casual approach to interviews. He always leaned back and made his guest feel like the star of the moment listening intently to whatever they had to say.

Larry King’s career began in Miami radio before moving to TV. He began his nightly CNN show in 1985. The show remained the network’s top-rated show throughout his time in CNN till 2010, when he retired.
