Uxmal Mayan Ruins Mexico

Some cast members of “Acapulco Shore,” a popular local style reality TV show, were kicked out of the 1,00-year-old Mayan ruins of Uxmal, Mexico on Tuesday by the archaeological authorities. The authorities claimed the influencers behaved immaturely and refused to wear masks or follow social distancing rules. The ‘influencers’ were invited by the state government of Yucatan to tour the ruins that were recently opened, in an effort to encourage tourists to return.

Mexico’s tourism arrivals have been heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic has greatly affected may people since tourism provides around 11 million jobs directly or indirectly in Mexico. May was the worst point for tourism in Mexico as tourism arrivals fell by 93.4%. This has resulted in the government resulting in various means of promoting the tourism industry, the most recent being ‘influencers,’ which did not end well.

The six cast members of the local reality show “were asked to leave, in compliance with health rules,” said the National Institute of Anthropology. Employees at the Mayan ruins said the cast refused to follow the rules requiring face masks and social distancing. In the photos the influencers posted, you can see them posing in close contact and next to one of the ancient statues. Yucatan officials denied paying the cast members to visit the ruins.

Michelle Fridman, the Yucatan state tourism secretary, wrote in a Tweet that “the influencers were not paid one single peso. It also wasn’t some half-baked idea but rather part of a strategy included in the plan for recovery from COVID, and if we carefully measure the impact, we estimate we got 200 million hits for a sector that urgently needs promotion.

NASA to Announce New Exciting Discovery About The Moon

Published

With 2020 and what is happening on earth, NASA might just have good news for us. They say they have “exciting news” about the moon.

News that suggests that what they have discovered can be applied to the agency’s plan to live on the moon! You heard us, honeymooners!

NASA plans to make the public announcement through an event that will be live on Monday 26 noon eastern time.

The chief exploration scientist in NASA’s AES within the HEOMD(Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate) at Nasa’s Headquarters, Jacob Bleacher, the astrophysics division director (in the Science Mission Directorate) at NASA Headquarters, Paul Hertz, Sciences and Exploration Directorate, Casey Honnibal and SOFIA(Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy) mission project scientist Naseem Rangwala will be in attendance.

There is an Artemis program that hopes to send the next man and the first woman to the moon in 2024 and in the 2030s, maybe launch missions to Mars with it as a base.

NASA hasn’t disclosed anything about the discovery other than it came from SOFIA and, we quote, “contributes to Nasa’s efforts to learn about the Moon in support of deep space exploration”.

SOFIA is a plane (Boeing 747SP aircraft) that allows researchers to observe from almost anywhere in the world and areas there are no telescopes.

The Observatory was made possible by a partnership between the German Aerospace Centre and NASA. It picks a phenomenon that is impossible to see with visible light.

For the first time in forty years, for instance, it had observed (2016) in Mar’s atmosphere the presence of Oxygen. Can’t wait to breathe the Marsian air!

If made possible, will you stay on earth or join us on the Moon honey? Leave your comment below.

As reported in DailyMail, T.J.Brown, 46, Scarborough, 42, and 82-year-old Charles were arrested in late June in Henry County, Tenessee, on multiple accounts of aggravated child abuse and animal cruelty.

The adults were accused of keeping Scarborough’s 18-months-old son in a metal cage near a 10 foot Giant Boa snake. The cage was crawling with cockroaches, and there were rats and mice next o the cage. The court officials heard details about the vile conditions of the home where the young toddler was found living in a cage near a giant boa constrictor snake.

The three adults appeared in Tenessee court last week, where they claimed that the cage was the ‘safest’ place for the kid in their animal-overridden and filthy home.

Monte Belew, Henry County Sheriff, said there were eight snakes total living inside the room with the boy as well as dozens of dogs running around the property.

Hiker In Utah Encounters A Cougar In The Wild And Lives To Tell The Story

Published

on

A cougar stalked a hiker in Utah for 6 minutes. The hiker recorded the whole terrifying encounter and uploaded it on YouTube.

Kyle Burgess was on a hike at the Slate Canyon Trail, near Provo, Utah, last weekend when he encountered the big wild cat. The video he recorded shows that he first came across cougar cubs along the trail. The cubs were not as terrifying, so he continued with his run.

However, a few meters ahead, he came face-to-face with the mother. That was when his survival instincts kicked in. He started backpedaling. The mountain lion started following him. In an effort not to encourage him to pounce, Burgess walked backward slowly. But that did not stop the big cat from rushing at him several times.

Burgess tried several tactics to scare away the predator. He made himself bigger, tried making scary sounds, shouted foul words, even tried negotiating with the animal by calling her ‘dude.’

Eventually, what worked was a well-aimed stone. The animal ran away fast the moment the stone dropped near it.

Maybe Burgess got lucky. Regardless, there are lessons to take away from his encounter. If you encounter cubs, the mother is probably not far away. Additionally, do not run from a predator and try making yourself big to discourage it from pouncing.

More Than 6.8 Tons Of Weed Concealed In Toilets Seized At The Mexican Border

CBP

The Office of Field Operations officers of US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the World Trade Bridge near Laredo, Texas, seized a shipment of toilets that contained about 6.8 tons of marijuana, according to a report on Breaking 911.

As our frontline CBP officers at World Trade Bridge seek to facilitate lawful commerce in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, they maintain a robust enforcement posture and that vigilance and attention to detail resulted in the seizure of more than six and a half tons of marijuana hidden within the commodity,” said Andrew Douglas, the Acting Port Director at the Laredo Port of Entry.

The CBP officers at the cargo facility seized the shipment at the World Trade Bridge on October 2. The toilet shipment containing the weed was in a 2015 Freightliner Tractor coming from Mexico. The drugs were discovered by a sniffer dog and non-intrusive imaging system inspection.

The inspection led to the unearthing of 1,017 packages concealed in commercial toilets, which contained about 13,744 pounds (6.8 tons) of marijuana. The seized marijuana has a street value of approximately $2.7 million.

CBP forwarded the case for further investigation to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations (ICE-HIS) special agents.

War Brewing Between Mexico’s Most Powerful Cartels

Bernandino Hernandez/AP

El Chapo’s cartel has declared war on the most powerful gang in Mexico, dispatching its troops for a bloody showdown. IsmaelEl Mayo’ Zambada has since taken charge of the gang after former leader El Chapo was extradited to the US and imprisoned last year.

Earlier on this month, Sinaloa Cartel soldiers had declared their presence in the western Mexican state of Nayarit, whose drug trafficking routes are controlled mainly by the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

In a disturbing video declaring war shared, you can see two members of the Sinaloan Cartel troop holding up pictures of Nayarit state officials Rodrigo Benitez Perez and the state’s governor’s brother-in-law Daniel Saucedo. The gunmen then warned their “heads will roll.” The soldiers then announce the beginning of ‘Operartion MZ’ and vowed justice. The letters MZ refer to Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada

Asked if the message amounts to a declaration of war, Robert Almonte, a cartel expert, and former US federal marshal, told the Daily Star: “Yes, I believe it does, not only in this state, but in general.” When asked if El Mayo’s troops could eventually dominate trafficking routes in the state, the cartel expert said: “That is always a possibility, but the CJNG has been in that area for some time. This is important, because this means they have more established relationships with corrupt officials.

The CJNG has expanded rapidly across Mexico and is one of the country’s most aggressive gangs, operating mainly in the west.
