Olesya Semenova was electrocuted when her charging iPhone fell into the tub as she was taking a bath.

The lifeless body of the 24-year-old Russian woman was found in her apartment in Arkhangelsk by her roommate, Daria.

“I screamed, shook her, but she was pale, did not breathe and showed no signs of life. I was really scared. When I touched her, I got an electric shock,” said Daria as she spoke to the emergency operator.

She added that she felt an ‘electric shock’ when she touched Semenova and that her iPhone 8 in the water was still charging.

Paramedics confirmed that Semenova was electrocuted to death after her phone that was plugged into an outlet fell in the water.

“The tragedy once again reminds us that water and an electrical appliance connected to the mains are incompatible,” the Russian emergencies ministry said in a warning after the incident, the latest of a number of such fatalities in Russia.

“The same applies to any mobile device. If you drown a smartphone, the worst thing is its failure,” the ministry continued. “But when it is connected to the network, we see what the consequences are.”

The iPhone 8 isn’t waterproof but is resistant to damage in 3 feet of water, but if hooked up to an electric source, it becomes a conductor and should be kept away from any water.

Mangoes and Marijuana: What are the Effects?

How Do Cannabis and Myrcene Interact?

For most marijuana users, it’s common trying to find ways to improve or prolong the marijuana high; such methods may include taking a tolerance break, switching strains or even mixing weed with other substances; but the easiest way to get your high elevated, is a quick stop to the grocery store.

You may have heard the rumor that eating mangoes before smoking marijuana can intensify your high, well it turns out there’s some truth to this. Mangoes contain a chemical called myrcene, which is known to alter the effects of marijuana. Most people report that eating mangoes before smoking marijuana can bring on a stronger and longer-lasting high; however, the extent to which mangoes can alter your high is not yet clear.

How Do Cannabis and Myrcene Interact?

Studies suggest that the chemical myrcene found in mangoes can alter the way marijuana affects you. Myrcene is also found in hops, bay leaves, thyme, basil, and cannabis.

Myrcene is a terpene, a chemical responsible for the aromas and flavors of a plant. The linked effect between the cannabinoids in marijuana and its terpenes is known as the entourage effect.

What Does Science Say?

Myrcene is known to have sedative effects and is said to be responsible for the couch-lock effect that tends to come from most indica strains. Cannabis strains with more than 0.5% myrcene are known to bring about much stronger sedative effects. After eating a mango, you receive a boost of myrcene, which explains the intensified effects that come along after smoking weed.

Additionally, myrcene is also known to have analgesic properties. Such that some people tend to use mangoes to boost the pain-relieving effects of marijuana.

How to Use Mango to Increase Your High

How Do Cannabis and Myrcene Interact?

Since it takes some time to digest, you might want to eat the mango before your smoking session. It’s recommended to eat a fresh ripe mango 45 minutes before smoking for the best effects.

However, this depends on the myrcene content of the mango, so you may need to try it several times with the right mangoes before you can experience the full effects.

Another factor to note when you’re planning on eating a mango to intensify your high is your metabolism rate. People with slow metabolism have better chances of feeling the marijuana-mango effect if they consume the mango 2hrs prior to using cannabis. In contrast, those with a faster metabolism may do better if they eat two or three mangoes less than an hour before consuming marijuana.

Which Other Benefits Can Mangoes Offer

Myrcene provides a distinct earthy and fruity flavor and blends nicely with flavorful strains. Eating a mango before you smoke marijuana can also lessen the cravings that come with smoking weed. A single mango has less than 135 calories. While most cannabis users tend to experience cravings for unhealthy junk foods when high, eating a mango is a much better alternative to potato chips and other snacks.

Apart from elevating your high and helping you curb the craving that comes with getting stoned, mangoes can also help decrease the risk of cancerous tumors. The fruit contains polyphenols that help to fight inflammation and lower blood sugar levels. A study conducted by Texas A&M University indicates that polyphenols in mangoes were proven to prevent inflammatory responses in cancerous breast cells. This means the fruit can help reduce the growth of cancerous tumors and cells.

As much as myrcene has been proven to heighten marijuana high, more research is needed to determine how strong the effects of mango-marijuana combo really is.

Parts of a Watermelon Bong

A typical bong has a tube/ chamber, where you inhale the smoke from, a base that holds the water that cools it down, a carburetor that enhances airflow, the bowl where you place your weed, and the down stem which links the bowl and the base. Understanding this gives you an idea of what you should do and need when it comes to the creation of a watermelon bong.

What You Need to Make a Watermelon Bong

The following are some of the things you will need for turning a watermelon into a bong:

  • A watermelon of any size
  • 1 large Carrot
  • 1 drill
  • A one 1-inch drill bit
  • 1 narrow drill bit
  • 1 Carrot
  • A large knife

The watermelon will act as the bowl/ base and the drill will help you create the necessary holes needed for a real watermelon bong. The one 1 -inch drill bit will help you clear any holes that may get blockages.

Make sure that the hole for the mouth is opposite the hole where you will place your bowl. The third hole will make way for the carburetor. You can find the place for the third hole by simply resting your mouth to any of the two holes and looking at where your fingers comfortably lie. Just make sure it accessible with either the middle finger or the pointer finger.

Step 2: Connect the Chambers

This allows the hole on the bowl to find its way through to the mouthpiece. Do this by drilling the holes as deep as you can. In case you experience any blockages with the way you can use any tube-shaped device to help you curve your way.

Step 3: Check the Airflow

After connecting the bowl to the mouthpiece, it will serve you right to check whether the two are connected and if the airflow is as should be.

Step 4:Make a Hole on the Large Carrot

Using the drill bit you can do this. The hole should be made directly down the middle of the large carrot.

Step 5: Carve a Bowl

Turn the carrot to its flat side and carve a bowl that should be enough to uncover the first tunnel you made. After this, you can inhale again through the mouthpiece and ensure that the airflow is satisfactory.

Step 6: Place the Carrot on the Carburetor Hole

do this by pushing the small end of the carrot in first and look to make sure that it’s a good fit. Let it stick to the angle it was drilled.

How to Use the Bong

It gets simpler using a watermelon bong since all that is left is placing the herb in the bong and lighting it. Grind the Cannabis flowers and make sure that the Carrot bowl is near. Then you can light up the dry herb and enjoy your moment.

Alex Foster, from Colorado Springs, takes a toke on a hollowed-out watermelon loaded with marijuana blunts on 420 in Boulder as friends and complete strangers provide combustion. Amendment 64, passed yesterday, legalizes the individual possession of an ounce of marijuana.

Final Word

Making a watermelon bong is not as hard as you would probably think it is ad it is more fun. Even better is that you can use the watermelon to give you its taste. It’s preferable that the watermelon you use is fresh and make sure it not overly ripe since it might end up messing the whole project. I would like to see the watermelon bong you created. Hopefully, the guide was successful.

Poirier proved that to be true in the rematch on Fight Island when he survived early blitzes from McGregor to score a shocking upset victory by second-round knockout.

McGregor came out fast, flashing his trademark speed and power, and even dipping back into the same shoulder strikes that led to the knockout of Donald Cerrone in his January 2020 return to the Octagon.

Through it all, Poirier remained steady, working over McGregor with leg kicks, eventually taking the base of the Irish superstar before blitzing him with punches, dropping him to the canvas and scoring the knockout at the 2:32 mark.

The Irish professional mixed martial artist and boxer became the first fighter to hold world titles simultaneously in two divisions.

Poirier, on the other hand, claimed the UFC interim lightweight title. He went on to win matches against Eddie Alvarez, Max Holloway, Dan Hooker, and Justin Gaethje.

Congratulations Dustin Poirer on his win!
