Top 10 Hip Hop Albums in 2020 that You Should Add to Your Playlist

top 10 hip hop albums 2020

If 2020 was to be summed up in one word, crazy would not be able to cover everything that has happened this year. From the passing of NBA legend Kobe Bryant to the death of Chadwick Boseman to the massive forest fires to the global pandemic COVID-19, which has resulted in a lockdown in very many countries worldwide to the Black Lives Matter protests and so much more.

If 2020 is not an entire movie or series, don’t know what it is! 2020 will undoubtedly take a massive chunk of history books. With all that was going on around us, mostly negative, many of us found safety and comfort in music. Below is a list the top hip hop albums of 2020 in no order.

1. BLXST- No Love Lost

South Centralproducer turned artist is best known for his collaborations with Bino Rideaux, who closely worked with Nipsey Hussle. My favorite tracks on BLXST’s No Love Lost album are ‘Gang Slide,’ ‘Wrong or Right,’ ‘Overrated,’ and ‘Be Alone.’

2. 21 Savage and Metro Boomin- Savage Mode 2

This album by 21 Savage is in the top three of my favorite 2020 hip hop albums. This album was one of the most anticipated albums in 2020, even with an epic trailer voiced by Morgan freeman helping to build up the anticipation of its release. It really is hard for me to pick my favorite tracks since I love all of them, but I have to confess Runnin and Mr. Right Noware on repeat.

3. 6lack- 6PC Hot EP

Most if not all of my 6lack favorite tracks have featured other artists, so I wasn’t explicitly jumping for joy when this EP was released but still decided to give it a listen. I did not regret listening. My favorite tracks are ‘Elephant in the Room’ and ‘Know My Rights’ with Lil Baby, and I officially can’t wait to hear what 6lack cooks up in his next album.

4. Don Toliver- Heaven or Hell

This album would have been the absolute best for 2020 summer if the world wasn’t affected by a global pandemic. I discovered Don Toliver through the Jackboys EP with Travis Scott and decided to listen to his debut album, which I enjoyed. My favorites are ‘Can’t Feel my Legs’ and ‘Candy.’

5. Vic Mensa- V Tape

Not only is Vic Mensa a hip-hop artist, but he’s also an emcee and one of the best emcees in Chicago. I think ‘Vendetta’ was the perfect intro for the album. Was I The only one who got confused when Vic Mensa went through a rock phase? Anyway, be sure to give this album a listen.

6. Gunna- Wunna Delux

If you’re like me, you probably were introduced to Gunna through his collaborations with other rappers such as Lil Baby. It took me a while to warm up to his music, but I enjoyed his Wanna Delux album. Some of the tracks I enjoyed from this album are ‘Cooler Than a Bitch’, ‘Met Gala,’ ‘Blindfold’ and ‘Top Floor’.

7. Bizzy Crook- From Me To You

I was introduced to Bizzy Crook’s music through an Instagram story and decided to look up his music. I was not disappointed by the Miami-born rapper’s music. My fav tracks are ‘Rich and Damaged’, ‘South Florida Girls’ and ‘Dios Mio.’

8. Lil Baby- My Turn

This is Lil Baby’s second studio album. The ‘Artist Of The Year’ title holder worked on this album with Quality Control Music. The album is about Lil Baby stepping into his star moment. He raps about his past life on the streets and the uncertainty that comes with pursuing his dream for rap.

9. K Camp- Kiss 5

This album by the K Camp was the final chapter of the Kiss Series. My favorite tracks on the album are ‘What’s on Your Mind,’ ‘Rude Boy,’ ‘What’s The Rush’and’ Ari.’ I can’t wait to experience what Camp and the Rare Sound crew will put out in 2021.

10. Doe Boy and Southside- Demons R Us

I think that Doe Boy and Southside are a match made in heaven. The chemistry they had in the album is unmatched. Southside comes through with amazing street production, and the beats hit hard with intensity on every track. The beats suit Doe’s rap perfectly. Hopefully, the pair work together again, if not soon.

Honorary mention

1. Benny The Butcher and Hit Boy- Burden of Proof

2. Lil Uzi Vert- Luv Vs Tha World 2/Eternal Atake

3. G-Herbo- PTSD Deluxe

4. Nas and Hit Boy- Kings Disease

5. Drake, Darl Lane Demo Tape

6. Pop Smoke- Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon

Lil Baby Shares Wealth Chart That Draws a Graph Starting From Poor to Super Rich

Lil Baby Shares Wealth Chart That Draws a Graph Starting From Poor to Super Rich

Lil Baby rose to fame in 2017 after his mixtape Perfect Timing became a hit. The 26-year-old has received tons of awards ever since and is still getting nominations for more.

Just like his fellow rappers, the Errybody rapper shows off his expensive Jewellery and cool drip.

The rapper, who has a net worth of five million dollars, decided to share a chart that distinguishes the wealthy and the low classes.

The chart has sparked an online debate that might not end soon. If the graph got made by a famous person who gets a million-dollar worth of gifts on his birthday, we have to listen.

The poorest people range between an income of zero dollars to five hundred thousand dollars in the graph. The next level is the middle class that ranges from $500,000 to 2 million dollars.

After the middle class, we have the upper-middle category. Now, this class ranges between two million to four million US dollars.

According to the The Bigger Picture rapper, those who earn between ten million and thirty million dollars fall under the wealthy class.

There is a ‘poor’ rich people category ($30M-$80M), then the comfortably wealthy class ($80M-$150M), followed by the rich (150-200), seriously rich ($200M-$400M), Truly Rich ($400-$800), Filthy Rich ($800M- $2Billion), before we land to the most fortunate group the Super Rich($ 2Billion and above).

Where do you fall? Let us know below.

Future seems to have the key to your future. When you listen to the Hndrxx rapper’s deep lyrics, you will notice that he has been giving fans advice for years. Not just ordinary advice, how to have a successful relationship kind of advice.

In his music Turn On Me, Future advises men to choose money over the female gender because the cash will open doors for things like gifting their significant other.

In addition to all this advice, the Throw-Away rapper went ahead to tell the men to get a ‘Boss Bi*ch’ for a girlfriend. A girl who knows her worth and fits perfectly, making the two a power couple. His tweets and lyrics also spoke on encouraging to better each other.

The 37-year-old said some of the other things include teaching your girlfriend to stay off the internet, love the girl you love, and stay away from the h*es.

We have compiled a list of tweets the rapper posted to help you, especially this valentine’s day. If you are working towards the future with your valentine’s, these tweets are for you.

Kodak Black and Lil Yachty Exchange Icy Chains to Signify Unity

Kodak Black and Lil Yachty Exchange Icy Chains to Signify Unity

As a rapper, being icy is paramount. Diamonds, chains, golden teeth, and an overall drip are basic things known for rappers.

Recently, Lil Yachty and ex-convict Kodak Black posed to show off their icy chains. The duo exchanged their chains, and the pictures they posted might be considered the hardest in the rap scene.

Lil Yachty held Kodak’s piece with his hood’s name ‘1800 Block’ inscribed on it while the latter held Yachty’s anchor chain.

The duo did this to show that they are united. Immediately Kodak got released from prison; Yachty gave him a stack of cash amounting to 50,000 dollars as a homecoming gift.

He has since addressed the issue, assuring fans that no one is going to get to him.

Other rappers who have upgraded their icy closet include Lil Uzi, who went viral after piercing a 24-million-dollar pink diamond on his forehead. Gucci Mane also got a 2.4 million three-piece jewelry set from his girlfriend, Keyshia Cole.
