In a virtual show appearance with Jimmy Kimmel Live! on October 2, Astroworld rapper Travis Scott spoke about his past when he worked as a ball boy for the Houston Rockets back when he was in high school.

The rapper retrieved and supplied balls for the players when he worked for his hometown NBA team.

Travis told Kimmel, “It had to have been, probably like I wanna say it was my junior year in high school or senior year in high school, one of those transitions.”

It was the year we had Kyle Lowry, Rafer Alston, I think Chuck Hayes,” he added.

When asked whether retired NBA star Yao Ming still played for the Rockets at the time Travis worked for the team, the rapper answered, “Yao Ming was there, but he was leaving. T-Mac [Tracy McGrady] was leaving. I think Yao Ming was at the end of his…Yeah, so we wasn’t too much of a star-studded team at that time.”

The 28-year-old rapper also talked about when Carmelo Anthony gifted him with an autographed piece of memorabilia.

“I remember Melo was on the [Denver] Nuggets ’cause one day…we weren’t supposed to talk to star athletes, so one day Melo signed…gave me his headband and signed his headband, which is so funny. He probably doesn’t even remember this,” said Travis.

The rapper mentioned meeting the late Kobe Bryant who gave him a signed basketball and said he had plenty of cool memories. “I met Kobe there and he signed a ball for me.”

When pressed for further information about what kind of errands Scott would be sent on as a ballboy, the rapper said he wouldn’t want to violate the “code of honor” among players and ballboys. “Shout out all my ballboys out there,” he said laughing. “Y’all know what’s going down, man. Hold it down for the team players. … We never tell,” he added.

DaBaby's Run-Ins With The Law

Ever since his commercial success in 2019, DaBaby’s star has been shining brighter and brighter. After the release of Suge which put him on the map, the artist has released bop after bop.

Fans love him not only for the catchy beats in his tracks but also for his catchy raps. Every song he features in or works on turns to magic. Despite having so much favour with fans, he has not had so much favour with the law.

Shoot and Kill – Huntersville, North Carolina

DaBaby whose real name is Jonathan Lyndale Kirk has had a couple of legal troubles. His most severe legal run-in dates back to 2018. He shot and killed a 19-year-old man in Huntersville, North Carolina while shopping with his baby mama and two children.

The artist who claimed the incident was an act of self-defence was only found guilty of a misdemeanour of carrying a concealed weapon. This was after the more serious charges were dropped in March 2019. He was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation.

Battery in Connection with Robbery – Miami

DaBaby’s other run-in with the law was when he was arrested and charged with battery in connection to a robbery investigation in January 2020. The robbery was after a promoter paid DaBaby $20,000 instead of $30,000. The State reported that DaBaby and his associates took $80 cash, an iPhone 7 and credit card from the promoter. The rapper spent 48 hours in Miami-Dade County jail before being released.

Asian Doll and Von’s best friend Lil Durk even gave the late rapper’s kids gifts on Christmas.

Kayla B took to Twitter, claiming that her brother was dating nobody before he died. She wrote, “Von wasn’t in a relationship wit nobody before he died, Wasn’t getting back wit nobody he was living his best life fuckin wit who Eva he wanted 2.”

Ayo, I had to get somethin’ off my chest; Benny The Butcher starts in his song 3:30 in Houston.

Benny has been vocal about his feelings towards people who share their moves and other rappers’ moves online, including Wendy Williams.

F**k all the bloggers, the n-gas who shot me

F**k all the apps, and f**k Wendy Williams.

Just yesterday, the rapper shared a short clip spelling out the difference between real n**ga and ordinary people.

With a joint between his lips, the rapper said,

You n-gas who be in the comments, running ya mouth thinkin’ y’all know everything? Swearing y’all street n-ggas? That’s rule No. 1, a street n-gga never speak on shit he know nothin’ about. And y’all n-ggas think an-gga ‘sposed to post every aspect of his life? C’mon man, y’all n-gas can’t be in the streets for real. Stop that.”

According to him, people who go announcing their plans on social media posting everything about their lives, and talking about other people are not supposed to be doing that and still claim to be ‘street nig**s.’

Wednesday the 20th of January will mark the last day of Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States, being in office.

But as he leaves, he is not only going with Abraham Lincoln’s bust but also a list of high profile spitters in the music industry that he has pardoned.

Trump is reportedly going to pardon nearly one hundred prisoners. The pardon-list that was decided last Sunday will be unveiled next Tuesday.

Kodak Black has tirelessly fought to smell the air of freedom after being sentenced to 46 months in prison. He has also faced rejection from the court claiming that his reasons to be granted an early release don’t make sense.

Lil Wayne, who is also awaiting trial after pleading guilty to the charges he was facing, might have planned his early release. Rumour has it that Kodak Black and Lil Wayne are supposedly in Trump’s pardon list.

Remember how Lil Wayne endorsed Trump for president in the previously concluded elections, he might have done it to get favoured by the president.

That is, however, speculation. Don’t quote us. Kodak also promised to donate one million dollars to charity if Trump pardoned him.

Bobby Shmurda might get an earlier release, who knows.

Wednesday will also mark Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s first day in office.
